We are looking for a sharp, creative, and commercially minded Content Lead to lead the content engine at Nestuge. This is not a purely creative role — it sits at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and business outcomes. You will own the full content operation across all of Nestuge's social media platforms, blog, and email communications. You will be the editorial brain behind everything that goes out ensuring every piece of content is intentional, on-brand, and tied to a clear business goal: creator acquisition, activation, or transaction growth. You will directly manage and brief our Content Creators and SMM working closely with the Head of Marketing & Growth and the Graphic & Motion Designer to deliver consistent, high-quality content at scale.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Own and manage the master content calendar across all platforms — Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, blog, and email

  • Develop platform-specific content strategies that align with Nestuge's growth and transaction goals and ensure uniformity in tone, quality, and messaging across every content touchpoint.

  • Define content pillars and narrative frameworks that communicate Nestuge's value to creators clearly and compellingly

Content Production & Oversight

  • Brief the Social Media Managers and content creators on all content — ideas, angles, formats, and goals — and review and approve all content before it goes live

  • Work closely with the Graphic & Motion Designer to ensure visuals match the content direction, maintaining a high editorial bar across all formats — video, graphics, captions, carousels, long-form

  • Write and publish blog posts (twice monthly) and manage email broadcasts to the creator base, assisting with content creation and direction where necessary.

  • Assist the content creators with content creation and direction when necessary.

Campaign & Launch Support

  • Lead content execution for all product and feature launches — briefing the team, writing copy, and ensuring cross-platform consistency

  • Work with the Growth team to develop creator success stories, onboarding content, and social proof content that drives acquisition and conversions

Performance & Optimization

  • Track content performance across platforms, identify what drives creator sign-ups, activations, and transactions, and share regular insights and recommendations with the Head of Marketing

What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 3–5 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a senior content creation role

  • Exceptional storytelling ability — you can take a product feature or creator story and turn it into compelling content

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and what works on each — Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn

  • Experience managing a content calendar and briefing/directing other content creators or social media managers

  • Excellent writing skills across formats; social copy, long-form blogs, email, and campaign messaging

  • Commercially minded — you understand that content should drive business outcomes, not just engagement

  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail

Strong Advantages

  • Experience working at a creator economy, marketplace, fintech, or consumer tech company

  • Familiarity with the African creator or digital commerce landscape

  • Experience with email marketing tools and basic understanding of email campaign workflows

  • Data-literate — comfortable reading platform analytics and using them to make decisions

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
